This work fills gaps in the history of Mudéjar pigments and painting techniques. Non-invasive and micro-destructive analytical techniques were used. The work identified the compositional, manufacturing and structural features. This information was used to further characterize polychrome woodwork. Information about the alteration of the pigments used was also obtained.
