Extensive experiments were done on a closed-loop pulsating heat pipe (PHP) with zeotropes.
PCIE (phase-change-inhibition effect) of zeotropes helps prevent dry-out at small filling ratios.
At large filling ratios, PCIE together with flow retardance makes the performance not as good.
Given certain cooling condition, a heat transfer limit exists for given PHP with certain fluid.
Volume mixing ratio of 1:1 might be a good choice for water-based binary mixtures.
