2-DE maps of almond and apricot kernel samples were obtained.

Three different proteins between almond and apricot were identified by MALDI-TOF–TOF/MS.

The amino acid of apricot Pru-1 was sequenced and aligned to almond Pru-1.

A non-existent peptide in apricot Pru-1 was used as hapten to prepare monoclonal antibody against almond Pru-1.

A high-specificity ELISA for almond and its heat-proceed products was established.
