Iron [Fe(0)]-rich substrate based on iron-carbon micro-electrolysis for phosphorus adsorption in aqueous solutions

P adsorption by Fe(0)–rich substrate based on micro-electrolysis was evaluated. P precipitated with the Fe(III) dissolved by ISs–AC galvanic cell reaction. The Fe(0)–rich substrate achieved the highest P capability among the substrates. P adsorption by Fe(0)–rich substrate was suppressed by pH. Substrates with higher Fe and Al were more suitable for high–OM water treatment.
