Fe2+ was introduced into PFC to form a Fenton-PFC to strengthen the radical reactions in the system. Cyclic reaction between Fe2+/Fe3+ and radicals can be achieved without external voltage. The Fenton-PFC almost does not produce sludge generated by ferrous ions. The Fenton-PFC enhanced organics degradation and electricity production of the traditional PFC.
