A hydrothermal approach is used for the synthesis tungsten oxide-graphene composites.

A miRNA sensor is developed based on catalyzed hairpin assembly target recycling.

Electrochemical-chemical-chemical system was applied to amply detection signal.

The biosensor shows a detection limit of 0.05 fM and high specificity towards miRNA.
