Three homogeneous polysaccharides were purified from G. livida. The chemical characterizations of purified polysaccharides (designated as GLP-1, GLP-2, GLP-3) were performed by HPGPC, GC–MS, FT-IR and SEM. Anticoagulant and antioxidant activities in vitroof sulfated polysaccharides from G. livida were studied and compared.
