GMSs were prepared as silver carrier, and Ag0 particles produced inside GMSs besides on the surface of GMSs.

TiO layer and micro/nano structures benefits osteoblast growth, also can be helpful for Ag/GMSs immobilization.

This work should be helpful to bioactive bone implants with high antibacterial ability.
