Electronic and optical properties of ASiNRs in electric fields are studied in TB model. Fz monotonically increases absorption frequency and strength. Fx makes energy bands oscillatory and destroys spin degeneracy resulting in richer optical spectra. Modulation of optical absorption strongly depends on field direction and ribbon's geometry.
