Versatile host-sensitized white light emission, K3ZnB5O10:Dy3+ phosphor was synthesized. Defect-related surface analysis of phosphor was studied by XPS. Energy level diagram was designed to show host to dopant energy transfer process. The phosphor has shown good thermal stability with activation energy of 0.52 eV.
