Exploration of the relationship between social disposition and smartphone anthropomorphism. Loneliness and preoccupied attachment traits are associated with smartphone anthropomorphism. Lonely people are prone to anthropomorphism in both individualistic and collectivistic cultures. Anthropomorphism relates to how people are culturally oriented to cope with close relationships.
