MSA modified poly(GMA-EDMA-Au NPs) monolithic capillary was prepared. The on-line monolithic CME-ICP-MS was developed for the analysis of trace REEs. The adsorption capacity of the monolith towards REEs has been obviously improved. The method was applied in seawater and blood sample analysis with good recoveries.
