The revised manuscript was improved based on the reviewer comments. Throughout the manuscript grammar was corrected. Too much technical details earlier were now minimized. A table is now included, depicting the geographic information of pointed tide gauge locations in Fig. 1a. Possible sources of errors occurred while validating modeled tides were addressed now in ‘Validation of modeled tide levels’ section.
