Twelve new molecules will be added to the existing chemical database. The synthesized compounds show broad spectrum antimicrobial applicability. Molecular docking studies showed that the compounds have strong affinity towards DNA. UV-Visible, fluorescence and gel electrophoresis confirm DNA groove binding. Compound 3f forms five strong H-bonds with DNA, suggesting strong affinity with DNA therby possesing anticancer properties.
