The stability of Fe atom on graphene zigzag edge relies on the periodic length result from the Clar's rule. Fe atom on reconstructed zigzag edge is also stable as on the pure armchair or zigzag edge. The magnetic properties sensitively depend on the structural details, especially on the local bond environment.
