BGO-polymer (PMMA or PS) composites were prepared by solution casting method. The shape and the dispersion of particles depend significantly of the used polymer. The smallest agglomerates are in BGO-PMMA composites with chloroform as solvent. Transmission of BGO-PMMA can be predicted using Mie scattering theory for spheres. The Mie theory for ellipsoid particles gives better results for BGO-PS based samples.
