This note introduces, analyzes and solves the continuous time (CT) Minkowski–Lyapunov equation. The necessary and sufficient conditions for solvability of both the discrete time (DT) and CT Minkowski–Lyapunov equations are provided. The explicit characterization of the unique solution to CT Minkowski–Lyapunov equation is derived and reported.
