Anisotropic grains were simulated and intercrystalline interactions were analyzed.

Stress concentrations caused by micropores shortened the fatigue life of the alloy.

HIP treatment reduced the plastic deformation and extended the alloy fatigue life.

Microstructure can be optimized with the help of HIP treatment.
