CoMn2O4 (CMO) nanofibers with voids/pores are prepared by electrospinning.

CMO nanofibers used as electrode for aqueous, solid-state symmetric supercapacitor (SSSC).

High energy density comparable to lead acid and Ni-metal hydride is obtained.

Excellent cyclability (till 10,000 cyles) and rate capability are obtained.

Red LED was lit by single SSSC device confirming its output voltage of 2 V.
