Numerical comparison of removal and deposition for fully-distributed particles in central- and split-type air-conditioning rooms

The removal efficiency of central- and split-type air-conditioner for fully-distributed particles was compared. Accumulation mode particles (0.1–1 μm) were more difficult to remove than other size particles. The difference of particle deposition in two types air-conditioning rooms was attributed to the different distributions of airflow and temperature. The exposure risk of suspended particles was assessed by the particle fates and necessary ventilation time.
