Air-cooling analysis of AZ31B magnesium alloy plate: Experimental verification, numerical simulation and mathematical modeling

Temperature distribution along the width and the thickness directions under different conditions was evaluated. Emissivity of AZ31B plate as an important heat transfer parameter in the air-cooling process was modeled accurately. Empirical Stefan-Boltzmann equation was modified and optimized to be the temperature control model of the process. Heat transfer coefficient between the plate and the environment was accurately defined and further fitted.
