Thermophysical properties of n-tetradecane@polystyrene-silica composite nanoencapsulated phase change material slurry for cold energy storage

A novel n-tetradecane@polystyrene-silica nanoecapsulated PCM was prepared. Thermophysical properties of composite nanoecapsulated PCM slurry were studied. The synthesized nanoecapsulated PCM had high latent heat and thermal stability. The composite nanoecapsulated PCM slurry showed high cold energy storage capacity. Thermal conductivity of slurry can be enhanced by adding silica in the shell.
