Angiogenic cytokines, VEGF and angiopoietin-1, positively correlate with T cell reconstitution after UCBT in adults. Markers of endothelial injury, thrombomodulin and angiopoietin-2, inversely correlate with T cell reconstitution after UCBT in adults. VEGF levels are associated with worse PFS and higher risk of relapse, whereas levels of thrombomodulin are associated with cGVHD and NRM.
