Two types of titanite exist in the Beiya deposit: magmatic titanite in porphyry and hydrothermal titanite in skarn.
U–Pb age of hydrothermal titanite is 33.1 ± 1.0 Ma, restricting the mineralization age to 33.1–34.1 Ma.
Ore fluid is magmatic in origin with relatively high oxygen fugacity.
Magmatic and hydrothermal titanite can be discriminated by their textures and elemental distributions.
