Integrating a compressible multicomponent two-phase flow into an existing reactive transport simulator

A coupling method for incorporating compressible multiphase flow into conventional reactive transport simulator is proposed. The method retains the flow module structure independent of the geochemical processes. Using the operator splitting approach allows us to employ the phase flow formulation. The number of nonlinear equations arising from the flow module is minimized. Applying equations of state facilitates precise description of compressible multicomponent phases.
