Produced friction spot welded (FSpW) 2198 was experienced different aging treatment. Correlations between microstructure and tensile strength of FSpW 2198 were analysed. Fracture modes of FSpW 2198 before and after aging treatment were analysed. Crack propagation in FSpW 2198 before and after aging treatment was studied by TEM.
