The influence of cryogenic-aging circular treatment on the microstructure and properties of aluminum matrix composites

The CACT (Cryogenic-aging Circular Treatment) was introduced into the materials processing. Al composites were processed by CACT to improve the microstructure and comprehensive properties. The microstructure covered the phase transition, dislocation, sub grains and so on. The strength, elongation, impact toughness, residual stress and wearability were studied. CACT is proved to be a new way to improve the mechanical properties of metallic alloys or compounds.
