Thermal stability of extension twins in Mg-3Al-1Zn rods

The initial grain size (15–32 μm) does not greatly affect the thermal stability of extension twins. Pre-annealing at 200 °C is not effective to enhance thermal stability of extension twins. Both the consumption of twins by matrix and that of matrix by twins occur during TATBM.
