Uncorrected Fructosamine is often used in clinical practice This study includes 40,938 sets of simultaneous measurements of glycemic control parameters from 20,114 patients. Fructosamine was determined by a highly specific enzymatic method. Fructosamine concentration is significantly influenced by serum protein concentration. Albumin-corrected fructosamine improves correlation with HbA1C, FPG and diagnostic performance.
