A new dual-frequency fringe projection system is developed for 3D shape measurement.

The use of the DLP 3D projector and LC shutter glasses improves the projection speed.

The technique of image registration guarantees the accuracy of phase unwrapping.

Phase-to-height conversion and non-sinusoidal errors are handled in one go.

The proposed method is able to measure the surfaces with steps or discontinuities.
