IL-DLLME & UPLC–MS/MS was used for extracting and quantifying alkaloids in M. Cordata. [C6MIM][Br] was used as extraction solvent. [K][PF6] was used as ion-pairing agent for in situ forming [C6MIM][PF6]. Different herbal organs were analyzed and the results were compared. The method has potential for comprehensive quality control of herbal medicines.
