Aquatic V̇CO2 (skin and gills) in L. paradoxa is affected by temperature. Aquatic V̇O2 (skin and gills) remained fairly constant across temperature. O2 uptake is higher in the total aquatic gas exchange at lower temperatures. Aerial hypercarbia decrease branchial O2 uptake and increase CO2 loading. Progressive aquatic hypercarbia did not affect gill frequency.
