Fieldwork was conducted simultaneously in two parks on eleven days. Three days of observations and surveys belonged to a national heat wave. Park user patterns on summer days clearly differ from those on tropical days. 26 °C related to Ta w a tipping point for solar exposure responses in parks. A ratio of 40% sun, 20% half shade and 20% shade was found optimal.
