Sensitive, real-time and anti-interfering detection of nitro-explosive vapors realized by ZnO/rGO core/shell micro-Schottky junction

A Schottky junction-based gas sensor is designed to considerably improve the response values towards nitro-explosive vapors.

The ZnO/rGO core/shell micro-Schottky junction-based gas sensor shows, highly sensitive, real-time detection toward TNT, DNT, PNT, RDX and PA vapors.

Superior anti-interfering performance is shown even towards interfering gases of ppm level.

The enhanced sensing performance is attributed to the micro-Schottky junction built at the interface of ZnO and rGO.
