Significantly enhanced energy storage performance promoted by ultimate sized ferroelectric BaTiO3 fillers in nanocomposite films

For the first time, ultimate sized BaTiO3 nanocrystals (~6.9 nm) serve as fillers of nanocomposite films for energy-storage applications. Significantly high breakdown strengths (Eb≥330 kV/mm between 10–40 vol%, Eb=133 kV/mm at 80 vol%) and enhanced energy density (maximal Udis=9.7 J/cm3) are obtained.
