Biochar is highly fire resistant material under heat flux of 50 kW/m2 Combustion of wool forms beneficial char to avoid flame propagation. Biochar and wool increased minimum O2 concentration to sustain composite combustion. Biochar and wool together improved fire resistance due to cohesive char formation. Biochar and wool addition enhanced mechanical stiffness of neat polypropylene.
