Dynamics of subway networks based on vehicles operation timetable

Subway network is represented as a dynamic, directed and weighted model by considering vehicles operation timetables. The static and dynamic metrics which can represent vertices’ and edges’ local and global attributes are proposed. Dynamic properties (heterogeneity and vulnerability) of the subway networks are studied. Through detailed analysis of the Beijing subway network, it tells us the vulnerability of Beijing subway network is higher during the peak hours, and the reasons.
