A highly efficient and practical approach to the hydrodefluorination of CF bond in fluoroarenes in the presence of 5 mol % NiCl₂(PCy₃)₂ with lithium tri-t-butoxyaluminium hydride (LiAl(O-t-Bu)₃H) under mild conditions has been developed.
