Monoclinic (Y1-xEux)2WO6 was produced via hydrothermal reaction and calcination. Hydrothermal precursor synthesis was performed under the high solution pH of 10. The pathway of phase and morphology evolution was revealed in detail. Sharp red-emission was achieved through energy transfer from [WO6]6− to Eu3+.
