The matched etching kinetics of Ta2O5 with the growth rate of NaTaO3 is pivotal.

Facet-coupling NaTaO3/Ta2O5 shows improved light absorption and charge separation.

It exhibits an excellent photocatalytic activity in the absence of any cocatalysts.
