99% of vis-photocatalytic oxidative desulfurization (Vis-PODS) yield was achieved by BiVO4/C3N4@SiO2.

Insights on the Vis-PODS using BiVO4/C3N4@SiO2 was clarified.

The dramatically enhanced PODS kinetics by the additional air flow was elucidated.

Effectiveness of the integrated PADS process using BiVO4/C3N4@SiO2 mixed with silica gel was investigated.
