The fluorescent sensor (1) for Pb2 + and Fe3 + was synthesized. The sensor exhibits a specific selectivity for Pb2 + and Fe3 + in aqueous solution. The sensor shows the low detection limit for Pb2 + and Fe3 + in aqueous solution. Sensor and Pb2 +/Fe3 + form removable flocculent precipitates in pure water. Sensor and Pb2 +/Fe3 + form multidentate complex with stoichiometric ratio of 2:1.
