This paper pointed out and corrected two mistakes in Proposition 1 of Qian et al.'s paper (i.e., [Math. Comput. Simulation 80 (2010), 1007-1017]). Furthermore, new (robust) stability criteria are obtained by using Jensen inequality technique. The new (robust) stability criteria remove the free-weighting matrices required in Qian et al.'s ones, which reduces the computational complexity. It is mathematically investigated that the new (robust) stability criteria and Qian et al.'s ones have the same conservativeness.
