Pillar[5]arene supramolecule is used for hydrothermal synthesis of MoS2/rGO hybrid. MoS2 sheets with more active edge sites are well anchored on rGO surface. The hybrid exhibits high electrocatalytic activity for HER with a low Tafel slope. The hybrid shows high potential as a promising electrocatalyst for H2 production.
