A novel fluorescence immunoassay was developed for the ultrasensitive detection of E. coli O157:H7.
This detection was achieved through the combination of the high bioactivity of CAT and H2O2-sensitive QDs.
The activity of CAT to H2O2 is 1000 folds higher than that of the HRP to tetramethylbenzidine.
The limit of detection of the proposed method could reach as low as 102 CFU/mL.
