Interphase–precipitated TiC carbides strengthening dual–phase steel was studied. TiC carbides brought about strengthened ferrite and weakened martensite. The effect of interphase–precipitated TiC on mechanical properties was investigated. TiC carbides increased yield and tensile strengths without sacrificing elongation. The dislocation structure in deformed ferrite was investigated.
