Torsional vibration of carbon nanotube with axial velocity and velocity gradient effect

New static and dynamic torsional models of carbon nanotube are developed based on the nonlocal strain gradient theory. The nonlocal strain gradient theory contains the nonlocal effect and the strain gradient effect simultaneously. The axial velocity is considered in dynamic torsional models. Kinetic energy including the velocity gradient effect is adopted. Comparisons of present model with non-classical and classical theories are illustrated.
