Studied alpha-particle induced bystander effect (BE) between zebrafish embryos. Observed deactivation of the BE through an additional X-ray dose >10 mGy. Explained the deactivation in terms of photon hormesis. Explained some previous non-observations of neutron-induced BE. Reported first-ever observation of non-targeted multiple stressor effect.
