Simultaneous morphology evolution and upconversion emission tuning of single Y-based fluoride microcrystal induced by Sc3+ co-doping

Y-based microcrystals with various polyhedron morphologies have been designed. Morphology evolution and upconversion tuning of single particle have been realized. The morphology evolution relies on the variation of anisotropic growth. The suggested mechanism explains the upconversion tuning well.
