In this paper, we study the following diffusion system where b∈C¹(R×R^N,R^N)$b\in C^1(\mathbb{R}\times {\mathbb{R}}^N,{\mathbb{R}}^N)$ and V(x)∈C(R^N,R)$V\left(x\right)\in C({\mathbb{R}}^N,\mathbb{R})$. By using non-Nehari manifold method developed in Tang (2014), we investigate the existence of the ground state solutions of Nehari type for the above problem with periodic and asymptotically periodic nonlinearity.
